Tariff Relief and Production Update at MakeMHz

Tariff Relief and Production Update at MakeMHz

Why We’re Checking In

Did you miss our first update? Read MakeMHz’s Plan to Ride Out Tariffs for the background on these changes.

Good news first. Tariffs have mostly returned to normal, lifting a huge weight off our shoulders. With that change, we want to share what’s happening with our pending orders and upcoming stock.

Production and Shipping Status

Project Stellar kits, along with a few unannounced products, have been sitting at the factory, packed and ready, while we waited for things to settle down a bit. Now that import costs have leveled off, we have told our fabrication partner to ship everything to us right away. This batch will let us clear the backlog of orders you have been patiently waiting for.

Store Inventory Update

We have made several quick changes to the store:

  • A small batch of Standalone XboxHD+ kits is live right now. Fewer than 50 units are available, and we expect them to disappear fast.

  • Legacy XboxHD+ kits are heading back into production.

  • An additional run of Project Stellar kits is being scheduled so that you can purchase it standalone, not just in the XboxHD+ bundle.

  • Two new product pages are now live:

    • XboxHD+ Replacement Parts

      • This page lists various replacement parts, including the injection‑molded plastic pieces offered as standalone items for the first time.

    • Project Stellar – Replacement Parts

      • This page also offers a range of replacement parts, and for the first time, the Easy d0 was sold as a standalone item.

What’s Next

Once the incoming shipment lands and clears customs, order fulfillment will resume immediately.

Thank You

Your patience and encouragement helped us navigate a stressful few weeks. We are excited to get these products into your hands and to turn our focus back to finishing the Project Stellar 1.8 firmware update and other projects in the pipeline. As always, we will keep you in the loop every step of the way.
