Project Stellar Plus is the evolution of the world's most powerful add-on for the Original Xbox.

Completely redesigned from the ground up, it introduces built-in Wi-Fi, native wireless controller support powered by BlueRetro, faster performance, and expanded functionality through StellarOS.

Everything that made the original Project Stellar powerful and flexible is still here, but now reimagined, refined, and taken even further.

Project Stellar Plus Features

  • Wireless Controller Support
    Connect up to seven wireless controllers at once for a total of eleven supported controllers (four USB and seven wireless). Compatible with a wide range of Bluetooth Classic and BLE controllers through BlueRetro.
  • Remote Power On
    Power on your Xbox directly from a wireless controller.
  • Automatic Port Mapping
    Wireless controllers are automatically mapped to available virtual ports for seamless gameplay and homebrew use.
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity
    Enables StellarOS firmware updates directly over the network.
    Wi-Fi functionality is limited to firmware updates at this time. Future features may be added in upcoming StellarOS releases.
  • Built-in Speaker:
    Adds sound feedback for pairing, system notifications, and other actions.
  • BlueRetro Integration
    Full support for button remapping, rapid fire, macros, and advanced controller features.
  • Stellar RGB Integration
    Adds lighting control and synchronization with Stellar RGB hardware.

What is the difference between Project Stellar and Project Stellar Plus?
Stellar Plus is a complete redesign that includes integrated wireless hardware, faster performance, and expanded functionality. It removes the need for the separate wireless upgrade board and is built for future features.

Can I use the same StellarOS firmware?
Yes. Both Stellar and Stellar Plus use the same StellarOS firmware, although certain features may be exclusive to Stellar Plus.

Will my current Stellar accessories still work?
Yes. Accessories like Stellar RGB and future Stellar expansion boards are fully supported.

Does Stellar Plus require soldering?
Installation is straightforward and similar to the original Stellar. Basic soldering is required.

Can I still use wired controllers?
Yes. You can use up to four wired USB controllers along with seven wireless controllers for a total of eleven.

Will there be future updates?
Absolutely. StellarOS is under active development, and additional features may be introduced in future firmware updates. Certain experimental features may be disabled in select builds during public testing.
