Overview

The Project Stellar - Wireless Upgrade adds Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Classic, and Bluetooth Low Energy support to existing Project Stellar installations.

This upgrade brings all the new wireless functionality introduced with Project Stellar Plus, including wireless controller support, remote power on, and over-the-air updates, without needing to replace your entire board.

It is designed as a seamless add-on that connects directly to your existing Project Stellar system.

Features

• Wireless Controller Support
  Connect up to seven wireless controllers at once for a total of eleven supported controllers (four USB and seven wireless). Compatible with a wide range of Bluetooth Classic and BLE controllers through BlueRetro.
• Remote Power On
  Power on your Xbox directly from a wireless controller.
• Automatic Port Mapping
  Wireless controllers are automatically mapped to available virtual ports for seamless gameplay and homebrew use.
• Wi-Fi Connectivity
  Enables StellarOS firmware updates directly over the network.
  Wi-Fi functionality is limited to firmware updates at this time. Future features may be added in upcoming StellarOS releases.
  
• Built-in Speaker:
  Adds sound feedback for pairing, system notifications, and other actions.
• BlueRetro Integration
  Full support for button remapping, rapid fire, macros, and advanced controller features.
• Stellar RGB Integration
  Adds lighting control and synchronization with Stellar RGB hardware.

Does this make my current Project Stellar identical to Stellar Project Plus?
In most cases, yes. The Wireless Upgrade provides feature parity with Stellar Plus, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and wireless controller support. Stellar Plus may include unique features in the future due to its redesigned hardware.

Can I install this myself?
Yes. The upgrade is designed for simple installation with detailed instructions. Basic soldering is required.

Will it work with all Bluetooth controllers?
The upgrade uses BlueRetro, which supports a wide range of controllers including Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and many third-party Bluetooth controllers. Compatibility may vary slightly depending on firmware version.

Can I still use wired controllers?
Absolutely. You can use up to four USB controllers in addition to seven wireless ones for a total of eleven simultaneous inputs.
